Reshmi-Paratha

Reshmi Paratha  traditionally origins from the state of Punjab. The main ingredients of this Paratha are Maida and Boiled Potatoes. These are very less time taking and easy to make at home for breakfasts / lunch / dinner.

Ingredients :

  • 2 cup of Plain Flour ( Maida)
  • 2-3 medium size Potatoes (Boiled & Mashed)
  • 1/2 tsp of Baking Powder
  • 1/2 tsp of Salt
  • 2 tsp of Coriander leaves
  • 1/2 cup of Milk (At Room Temperature)
  • Refined Oil or Butter 

Procedure :

1. In a bowl, add Maida, 1/2 tsp of Baking Powder, 1/2 tsp of salt and 2 tsp of Coriander leaves. Mix it well. Now add mashed Potatoes. Start kneading to make a soft dough. Use Milk gradually instead of water.

2. Apply 1/2 tsp of oil over the dough and  cover it for 15 to 20 min.

3. After 20 min, knead your dough again for 1 to 2 min. Make equal size balls. 

4. On a rolling board, take a ball and roll a thin round paratha with the help of a rolling pin.

5. Heat tava on medium flame. Put your paratha on tava, after 1 min flip it and apply some oil or butter. Repeat the process on the other side. It takes very less time to bake.

6. Make all Reshmi Parathas similarly. Soft and Tasty Paratha is ready.

7. You can eat this paratha with Kebabs, various Koftas, or Curry Vegetables.
